Queens County Naturalization Project
The Italian Genealogical Group, along with members of the Genealogy Federation of Long Island, has recently completed this project of computerizing all of the Naturalization Records that are held by the Queens County Clerk’s Office.
These naturalization records are for the period of 1906 to 1957. There are some for earlier years. If you don’t find it here, check the Eastern District Index.
The database contains about 60,000 records.
A sincere thank you goes to all those people listed below who took time out of their busy lives to make this project a success by giving of their time and talent.
Special credit and thanks goes to Don Eckerle and Robert Boeckle, with their computer savvy, made this project practicable. With their expertise, we are able to fix our mistakes, and convert the various computer programs that our volunteers used into a single database and a highly useful research tool.
We have had volunteers from all over the United States, Canada, Ireland and England that have contributed to this project. It is truly and international effort.
